Prior to his role as CEO, Olugbenga Agboola worked as the Chief Technology Officer of Flutterwave. The company was founded in 2016 by Olugbenga, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, and a team of African payments, technology, and banking specialists. These skilled experts had experience working for several prestigious companies, such as Google Wallet, Standard Bank, PayPal, and Andela. Olugbenga Agboola’s career started after he received his Master of Business Administration degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts. One of Olugbenga Agboola’s first jobs out of school was as an Application Developer for British Telecom Professional Services. After working in this role from 2003 to 2004, he took a position at PayPal as an Application Engineer. One year later, Olugbenga joined the Enterprise Infrastructure Solution Development team for Guarantee Trust Bank, a position he held from 2005 to 2009.
